Sous Chef

Hotel 1110 is currently seeking young talent to lead our rooftop grill. The Sous Chef is responsible for planning and managing food preparation. Execution of hotel menus, including room-service and banquets. Must be able to perform a range of duties including planning menus, training new staff, and recording inventory. The preferred candidate is highly organized, detail oriented with A wide range knowledge of several cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and processes. Sous Chef responsibilities include:

  • Develop new menu options based on seasonal changes and customer demand.

  • Assist with the preparation and planning of meal designs.

  • Ensure that kitchen activities operate in a timely manner.

  • Resolve customer problems and concerns personally.

  • Monitor and record inventory, and if necessary, order new supplies.

  • Provide support to junior kitchen employees with various tasks including line cooking, food preparation, and dish plating.

  • Recruit and train new kitchen employees to meet restaurant and kitchen standards.

  • Create schedules for kitchen employees and evaluate their performance.

  • Adhere to and implement sanitation regulations and safety regulations.

  • Manage the kitchen team in the executive chef's absence.

Bar Chef

Special to 1110, our Bar team is trained to not only serve drinks but produce edible creations. The Barchef is a professional, high-energy Bartender with excellent communication skills serve classical cocktails and exciting new beverages to our customers. Preferred candidate is efficient, observant, knowledgeable, and personable. Barchef responsibilities include

  • Garnish prep and design 

  • Welcoming customers, reading and listening to people to determine beverage preferences, making recommendations, and taking drink orders.

  • Planning drink menus and informing customers about new beverages and specials.

  • Selecting and mixing ingredients, garnishing glasses, and serving beverages to customers.

  • Checking identification to ensure customers are the legal age to purchase alcohol.

  • Taking inventory and ordering supplies to ensure bar and tables are well-stocked.

  • Adhering to all food safety and quality regulations.

  • Handling cash, credit, and debit card transactions, ensuring charges are accurate and returning correct change to patrons, balancing the cash register.

  • Maintaining a clean work and dining area by removing trash, cleaning tables, and washing glasses, utensils, and equipment.

  • Developing new cocktail recipes.

Front Desk Associate 

As the ‘face’ of Hotel 1110, the successful candidate will be presentable and friendly, with outstanding people’s skills. You should have a talent for multi-tasking, with excellent communication and organizational skills. The preferred candidate is multi-lingual with light marketing experience. Front Desk Associate responsibilities include:

  • Greet guests and provide them with superb customer service.

  • Ensure the front desk is neat, presentable, and equipped with all the necessary supplies such as pens, forms, and paper.

  • Answer all client questions and incoming calls.

  • Redirect phone calls to the appropriate department and take down messages.

  • Accept all letters and packages, and distribute them to their appropriate departments.

  • Monitor, organize and forward emails.

  • Track and order office equipment and supplies.

  • Maintain records and files.

  • Oversee the office budget.

Jr. Marketing Assistant

The Marketing Assistant will be working closely with the Creative Director to develop and implement marketing plans and strategies for our brands. As a successful hire, you will be tasked with helping identify marketing trends and opportunities for growth, as well as creating marketing materials such as white papers and case studies. You will be giving presentations about our ongoing campaigns and provide administrative support to our marketing and sales teams. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with social media marketing, proof of sales drive, and a flexible schedule. The Marketing Assistant responsibilities incldue: 

  • Helping identify marketing trends and key opportunities for innovation.

  • Learning and working with various types of software for digital marketing.

  • Working closely with sales and marketing department.

  • Creating marketing materials such as white papers, case studies, and presentations.

  • Giving presentations.

  • Maintaining a marketing database.

  • Providing administrative support to the marketing and sales team.

  • Preparing, formatting and editing a range of documents.

  • Understanding company product and brand.

  • General office duties.

  • Creating and interpreting a variety of reports.

  • Organizing market research.

  • Analyzing questionnaires and other forms of feedback.

  • Updating social media accounts.

In-house Craftsman

1110 is an artful boutique hotel with many details in design. We are currently seeking a creative groundkeeper with the desire to produce modifications and custom furniture. In-house Crafstman will maintain lawns, trees, shrubs, flowers, stair paths, retaining walls and turf. The Groundskeeper will employ insecticides, chemical sprays, fertilizers and mulches to optimize condition of greenery. You will keep grounds free from trash, litter, debris, weeds, plant diseases and harmful insects. You will maintain equipment and supplies, and order as needed​.

To be successful in this role you need to ensure grounds are pleasant—both visually and operatively—at all times, while maintaining equipment. Top candidates are hard-working, meticulous and patient. The In-house Craftsman 

  • Maintaining lawns, trees, shrubs, flowers, turf and irrigation.

  • Fertilizing lawn, trees, flowers and shrubs, and spreading mulch.

  • Trimming trees, hedges and shrubs, and preventing and eliminating weeds.

  • Operating and maintaining hand tools, such as loppers, saws and shovels efficiently.

  • Operating and maintaining trucks and power tools.

  • Utilizing insecticides, fertilizers and chemical sprays to treat diseases.

  • Keeping grounds free from trash, litter and debris, and emptying trash receptacles.

  • Conducting basic irrigation audit and performing basic irrigation repairs.

For a decade, 1110's underlining focus has been the Arts. To motion or ten year anniversary Hotel 1110 will host two opportunities for artists to showcase their work. The blank canvases are located on the exterior and interior walls of the venue, situated on the busiest street of Monterey, on Del Monte Ave stones throw away from the beach. the deadline is November 1st and installation will begin March 1st. All submissions will receive VIP passes to 1110's inaugural Bar Chef Ball on Saturday May 29, 2021. To submit please include the following list and email to

Our company is currently seeking talent to capture our guests experiences. Photo projects take place in various settings such as; beachside, in-room and our rooftop and will be scheduled at least seven days in advance with call sheets in hand.


The preferred candidate is reliable with extensive experience and can edit and deliver five digital prints per project. Projects include:

  • Profile

  • Fashion

  • Commercial
